Katherine (Kathy) Louise Oliver, 53, departed this life on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at United Hospital Systems in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Kathy was the eldest child born to Alonzo J. and Ada Mae (nee: Wells) Oliver on January 1, 1954 in Racine, Wisconsin. Kathy's parents relocated to Chicago, Illinois where she attended the elementary school system. After her mother's death her father relocated the family to Racine where Kathy attended the public school system and later graduated. Kathy's favorite pastimes were the times she spent with her family, painting and working with all sorts of puzzles. Kathy leaves to cherish her memories one son, Anthony Oliver (fiancée Audrey Mills), two brothers Craig (Gladys) Oliver of Racine and Ricky (Michelle) Oliver of Boston, MA, one sister Valerie Oliver, and stepmother Annie Mae Oliver of Racine. Special friends, Betty Redmond, Wanda Terrell and the Prewitt family of Kenosha and Phyllis Westmoreland of Racine. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Darryl Oliver, a sister Elaine Oliver, grandparents, Samuel and Justina Oliver and Willie and Willie Mae Wells. Homegoing services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, October 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby officiating. Visitation and viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Cemetery services will be private.
