Kathleen P. Omelina, 85, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 14, 1937, the daughter of the late Engelbert and Josephine (nee: Schoknecht) Stoeveken.
Kathleen was a proud graduate of Holy Angel's Academy, Milwaukee, "Class of 1955". On October 1, 1955, in St. Elizabeth Church, Milwaukee, she was united in marriage to Daniel R. Omelina, who preceded her in death on July 11, 2019. She was a founding member of "the Bridge Club", but never dealt a single card. Kathleen was a wonderful wife, mother grandmother, great grandmother and friend, who will be missed. Grandma Kate was steadfast and true to all those she called family and friend.
Surviving are her children, Colleen (Albert) Totero, Carolyn Omelina, Mary K Omelina, Robert (Kathryn) Omelina, and Susan Omelina, all of Racine; six grandchildren, Abby, Anne, Daniel, Kathleen, Joseph, and John; her great grandson, Carter; sister, MaryJane (Patrick) Brosseau, of Milwaukee; sister-in-law, Christel Stoeveken, of Tavares, FL; as well as her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Kathleen was preceded in death by her grandson, Luke; and her three brothers, Terrence, Anthony, and Peter.
Following a private service for Kathleen. Your invited to join the family for a "Celebration of Kate's Life" with her favorite desserts and coffee on Saturday November 12, 2022 from 1 to 3pm at Rob and Katie's Home (3340 Chatham Street, Racine, WI. 53402).
A special thank you to her family who worked together to keep her in the home she knew and loved for 58 years, as well as her Hospice Alliance team and Father Jose Mario Nieto Restrepo.

There will a celebration of Kathleen's life at her son Rob's residence following her entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32.
