Kathleen Ann Stephenson, a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away surrounded by family on November 18, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on April 2, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, Kathy lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and culinary passion. A long-time resident of Lake County, she made indelible memories in every dish she cooked, serving as a celebrated server at Maggiano's Little Italy and the Rainforest Café.

Kathy was not just a server; she was a nurturer at heart. Known for her generosity and flair in the kitchen, she ensured that every guest who crossed her threshold left filled not only with food but with love. Her St. Patrick's Day feasts, crafted from scratch for her beloved family, will forever echo in their hearts as a testament to her spirit and dedication. Beyond her restaurant work, Kathy shared her creative talents through her small cake bakery business, "Just Say Cake," where sweet delights were lovingly baked for special occasions and everyday moments alike.

Family was Kathy's world; she was the steadfast caregiver for her nephews, grandchildren and granddogs, embodying the essence of unconditional love. The summers in the sun and the vibrant energy of Chicago filled her with joy, and her laughter will remain a lasting memory for all who knew her.

Kathy is survived by her beloved daughter, Sheri Stephenson; son, Michael Stephenson; grandchildren, Jaylin Vires, Alexander Stephenson; siblings, Steve Abramski, Brian Brown; nephews, Brian Brown, Brandon Brown, Cameron Brown; great nephew, Ollie Brown and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. The impact she made on their lives and the lives of all around her will resonate for years to come.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Abramski and Florence Brown (nee: McCarthy); siblings Lance Abramski, and David Brown.

A celebration of life will be held by her family on November 26th. Kathy's love will continue to shine brightly in our hearts as we remember the beautiful moments, heartfelt laughter, and cherished culinary delights she shared with us all.
