Milwaukee, WI – Age 66 found peace on April 9th, 2022 in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after many years of battling various health issues.

Kathy was born on June 6th, 1955 in Milwaukee, WI. Kathy was an angel on earth. She was kind, sweet and loving to everyone she knew. Kathy never spoke one bad thing about anyone. She never forgot an anniversary or a birthday. Despite all the pain she was in her whole life, she always made sure to check in with her sister, brother, nieces and nephews, always thinking of them and how they were doing, even over her own pain. Kathy met David in her apartment building 11 years ago and ever since then, they became inseparable. David was the best fiancé to Kathy. He took care of all of her medical needs, including the last few weeks at home giving her dialysis and hospice care. We are truly grateful for the love David showed Kathy. He was the love of her life. Kathy had a love for her family, music and her favorite shows, like I Love Lucy, Full House, Family Affair and Leave it to Beaver, which her and David watched together every night.

She will be dearly missed by her beloved fiancé David Wester. Dear sister Sonia (Tom) LaFauci. Brother Jeff (Nancy) Kowalczuk. Nephews and nieces Billy Bennett, Mark Bennett, Rachael (Nick) Contreras, Erica (Edmund Klimek) Freeman, Nick Kowalczuk, Michael Kowalczuk, Rebecca (Mikey) Bewley. Great nephews and nieces Sabrina, Samantha and Jake Bennett, Jackson, Max and Alex Contreras, Poppy and Pippa Klimek and Blake Bewley. She was also a great, great aunt to Cayson, Kazimir and Everly Bennett. Preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Bennett, sister Sharon Bennett, father Fedor Kowalczuk, and other loved ones.

Visitation to celebrate Kathy’s life will be on Monday, April 18th, 2022 from 11am- 12pm at Draeger Langendorf Funeral home with a service to follow at 12pm. A private interment will follow at Agudas Achim Cemetery.

Testimonials

Last warm-hearted care of our mother

Words cannot even begin to express the tremendous gratitude our family has for a team like the one at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Thank you for the gentle lovely care over our mother Delia (Rosa) Balderas. Never having had a direct experience with a funeral home to this extent we didnt know what to expect. We didnt have a clue that they would step right in and have the most comforting team surrounding us that thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for anyone in our position. It was very evident from the first discussion on the phone that they were already well prepared to handle every little detail for us that we weren’t even aware would be required. Mark and his team truly eased so much of the unknown worries right out of our path, and left room for us to just focus on the small personal details we wanted for our mom. It was nice to know that all cost involved was in black and white on their site as well as on paper at our first meeting. Leaving no room for question or doubt what so ever with any fee involved. It was truly a blessing to have everything written out so well and simplified with various price range options in a time that we needed crystal clear direction. Its been beautiful to see that their care and service didnt stop after our mom’s service came to an end. They continue to be in communication with immediate responses as questions arise along the way. God bless Mark, and the entire compassionate team, to be around to guide many many more for generations to come through life’s most difficult times. You are all truly amazing.
