Kenneth Emerson, 74, passed away, at his residence, on Saturday, May 22, 2010 after a short but cruel battle with cancer with his wife, Jen, at his side. Ken was born in Beloit, WI on Aug. 22, 1935 the son of the late Bradford and Alma (nee: Steiner) Emerson. On June 27, 1959, here in Racine, he was united in marriage to the former Jeanette "Jen" Wilson. Ken had been employed by S.C. Johnson and Son. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and skiing. Surviving are his wife Jen; their son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Pam Emerson; grandsons, Brady and Brandon Emerson, all of Appleton; and his dog Maggie. Other relatives and friends further survive him. Family and friends are invited to meet at the chapel of West Lawn Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26th. In Lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to Hospice Alliance. Jen would like to thank Pearl Czechowicz, Teri and Rusty Birkholz and Hospice Alliance for their gentle and compassionate care over the past several weeks.
