Kenneth E. Nixa, 72, passed away at the Becker-Shoop Center on Thursday, September 2, 2010. He was born in Racine September 2, 1938, son of the late Charles and Helen (nee: Moriarity) Nixa.

Ken was a lifelong resident of Racine, and owned several businesses in his lifetime, including several towing and service stations, and the Time Out tavern.

He is survived by his children, Scott Nixa of Racine, and Nicole (Kurt) Witt of Franksville; grandchildren, Randi Witt and Tristin Witt; brothers and sisters, Gene (Jane) Nixa, Rita (Luigi) Valeri, Tina (Vern) Wenger, Joe (Cathleen) Nixa, and Paula (James) Johnson all of Racine; as well as many other relatives.

A memorial service for Ken will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 13, 2010 with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Interment and military honors will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
