Kenneth Bernard Paden, age 70, peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday October 2, 2025. Kenneth was born in Holly Spring, Mississippi to the late Aldonia (nee: Mayes) and Marcus Fields Paden. He pursued his career as a custodian working for multiple companies. Kenneth was baptized at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church but was unable to attend because of his health.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories; siblings, Hattie Pearle Mayes of Fresno, California, Rufus Paden of Potts Camp, Mississippi, and Gary Anthony Paden of Decatur, Illinois; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins including his favorite cousins, Shirley Woods and Janice Koonce; caregiver and close friend, Josephine Shannon; special friends, Maggie Swoops, Annie Stoner, Sherry Steward and Jerry Wainwright. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Aldonia and Marcus; his brothers, Willie Mayes and Marcus Paden, Jr.

Service Details

A celebration of Kenneth's life and homegoing will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 am, in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, with Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
