Kevin Rashad Showers, Jr., age 30, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

His tender heart and touching smile will be missed dearly by his wife, Jonisha Showers; two sons, Ethan J. Showers and Karter A. Showers; his parents, Katharine Dyess and Kevin (Stacey) Showers; his siblings, Jakob Dyess, Sevanna Matthews, Alijah Matthews and Kayla Flynn; his grandparents, Helen Bensene and Willie Earl (Sandra) Showers; his uncles, Jermaine Showers, Anthony Roach and Johrie (Luz Rosa) Dyess; his aunties, Cherika Showers, Laura Bensene, Aimee Bensene, Toni Rondone, Wendee (Kelvin) Balton, Elberta (Jody) Hoffmann, Mary Bigalk and Jenny (Jason) Dyess-Sheeder; nephews, cousins, in-laws and many other relatives and loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Dyess; and cousin, Jayce Showers.

To honor and celebrate Kevin and his heroic choice to donate life, homegoing services will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:00 am with Rev. Melvin D. Hargrove (of Zoe Outreach Ministries) officiating. Entombment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Viewing will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 – 11:00 am.
