Racine– Kim C. Kamakian, 56, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Friday, April 27, 2012 as the result of a fire at her home.

Kim was born in Racine on September 3, 1955 to the late George and Joyce (nee: Petersen) Kamakian. She was a graduate of J.I. Case High School. During the past several years, Kim has been a prisoner of her own body as she struggled with severe cardiac and pulmonary complications. She is now at peace.

Surviving are her daughter, Heather Hansen; grandchildren, DeCardo and Amaya Humphrey; brothers, Kent and Kevin Kamakian; many dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name.

In accordance with Kim's wishes, a private family memorial gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
