Kimberly A. Marks, 56, passed away, peacefully, at her residence on Sunday, January 23, 2022. She was born in Racine on March 25, 1965, the daughter of Richard W. and Sandra A. (nee: Guist) Larsen.
On June 10, 2006, she was united in marriage to Douglas A. Marks, who preceded her in death on October 22, 2018. Kimberly received her bachelor's degree in criminal justice and an MBA in public administration from Concordia University Wisconsin. After a fruitful 35 years, Kimberly retired from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, serving in various roles. She also taught criminal justice as an instructor at Kaplan College and as an adjunct professor at Concordia University Wisconsin. Kimberly was a devoted mother and grandmother, loving daughter and aunt, who enjoyed crafting, antiquing, loving on her dogs, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Logan (Rebecca) Martin, of Caledonia, Jacob Martin, of Oak Creek, David Marks, Jeremy (Desiree) Marks, and Erica Marks, all of Racine; four grandchildren: Leah Marks-Moore, Talia Marks, Elias Martin, and Gideon Martin; and one grandson arriving in April; her mother, Sandra Larsen, of Bowling Green, KY; two sisters, Kristin (Tim) Cluey, of Racine, and Karrie (Jason) Kral, of Bowling Green, KY. Her special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. In addition to her beloved husband, Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Richard Larsen and her grandparents.
Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, February 5 th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be that Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
