LaDonne Allen

Jul 4, 1926 – Jan 23, 2016

~~LaDonne (nee: James) Allen, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2016.  She was born on July 4, 1926 in South Fulton, Tennessee to the late Frank and Ardella (nee: Freeman) James.
LaDonne was a longtime resident of Racine, WI.  She retired from Racine Unified School District after many years of dedicated service.  She was a life-long member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
LaDonne leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son, Perry (Brenda) Lee of Miami, FL; her daughters, Lydia Ann Allen and Susan Denise Allen, both of Racine, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two special friends, Vanessa Hasan and Marianne Goodwin. She is further survived by her niece, Pat Gibson; nephew, James Moss; great nephew, Michael Moss; great niece, Adrienne Gibson-Stulo and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to her parents, LaDonne was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Allen; three sons, Melvin Lee, Derryle L. Allen and Jerryle L.  Allen as well as her sister, Hettie M. Moss.
Mother LaDonne Allen’s infectious smile and soulful voice will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

It is a real blessing when one can celebrate the home-going of a true Christian. She always entered church shouting but her shouts began at home on a daily basis. I was blessed to have a mother who demonstrated her Christian faith. Though I miss her now, I hope to join her someday in heaven.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Many thanks to Bob and the staff of Draeger-Langendorf. This has been the hardest of times in my families lives and you were very attentive and helpful with all that needed to be done. The tribute that you created for my mother was beautiful and I shall not forget it. God bless all of you.
