Larry D. McLemore,64, transitioned from the life on Friday, November 19, 2021. He was born in Quitman, MS the son of the late Mose and Mable (nee: Williams) McLemore.
On May 28, 1994, in All Nations Pentecostal House of Prayer, he was united in marriage to Deborah Benson. Larry owned and operated Larry's Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance and was one of the first minority businessmen in Racine. God continued to bless his success right up to the end of his journey, and Larry was proud of that. He was known all over the area for stopping and talking with anyone who would listen. Larry was an avid fisherman and had a great love for beauty of the outdoors. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of twenty seven years, Deborah; their children, Devon McLemore, of Racine, Nikkie McLemore, of Houston, TX, Cherell (Famous) Gardner, of West Bend, LaToyla (Tony) Fulton, Kweli (Felicia) Shabazz, Tremel Mason, all of Paris, CA, bonus children, Ronnie, Reginald, and Shanta Mason, all of Los Angeles, CA. twenty seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Joe (Annie) McLemore, and Henry (Lorraine) McLemore, all of Racine; two sisters, Emma (Robert) Price, of North Chicago, Carolyn (Booker) Redmond, of Racine; mother-in-law, Pastor Virginia Lackey; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Iva (George) Russell, Darryl Carson, Pastor Roger (Dwana) Carson, and Jeremy Lackey, all of Racine. His nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive him. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
His Homegoing Service will be held in Greater Grace Temple on Saturday, December 4 th at 11:00 a.m., with his mother-in-law, Pastor Virginia L Lackey and brother-in-law, Pastor Roger Carson officiating. Visitation will be in the church that Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
