Obituary

Lawrence Wilfred Barth, age 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Brookside Care Center with his family by his side.

A longtime resident of Racine, he was born on February 5, 1953 to the late Lawrence John Barth and Shirley Jean (nee: Bredow) Barth. He was a graduate of William Horlick High School class of 1971. Larry faithfully served our country with the United States Air Force from 1972-1976. After completing his military service, Larry graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor's degree in business.

Larry was employed as a Quality Control Specialist at InSinkErator until his retirement. On April 15, 2010 in Jamaica, Larry was united in marriage with Rose (nee: Toutant) Bogosian. Larry especially cherished golfing with his Johnson Park family. He was an avid Packers & White Sox fan. More recently built an RC car, bringing back fond memories of building and racing RC cars with his son.

More than anything, Larry loved being together with family and friends. Larry also remained in touch with many of those who served with him in the Air Force along with his close group of High School friends.

Surviving are his wife, Rose Bogosian; son, Shane Barth (Kristina Wamboldt); sister, Gail Kirby (Steve Pasenelli); brothers, Russell (Chrystal) Barth and Glen (Karen) Barth; sister-in-law, Lori Barth; extended family, Erin (Joe) Cortese and Ryan Heusdens (Rachel Durfey); grandchildren, Christian Barth, Vincenzo "Vinny" Cortese, Francesco "Frankie" Cortese, Kaleb Barth and Riley Wamboldt; great-granddaughter, Leeana Barth; nieces & nephews, Hailey Barth, Jenni (Aaron) Wingate, Joshua Barth and Jordan Barth; brother-in-law, Daniel (Lisa) Toutant and Michael (Jackie) Toutant; sister-in-law, Renee (Mike) Wasinack; cousins, other relatives & friends – too numerous to mention all by name.

In addition to his parents, Lawrence & Shirley Barth, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Barth; and former wife, Debora (nee: Spalding) Barth.

Visitation will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. A Service celebrating Larry's life will begin at 5:00 pm and will include military honors. Private interment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The service may also be viewed at 5:00 pm via livestream by selecting the link above.

Because Larry dearly loved his grandchildren, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for the benefit of their future education. Memorials to "Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin" would be also appreciated. Larry's family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staffs at Ascension Cancer Center, Brookside Care and Hospice Alliance for the compassionate care and support in Larry's time of need.
