Obituary

Leonard Fields was born on August 28, 1957, in Racine, Wisconsin, to Beverly and Leon Fields. Leonard was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend whose presence brought warmth and laughter to everyone around him.

Leonard was the proud father of four children; Kenton Wilson (preceded in death), Jovon (Jessica) Fields, Sharmain Fields, and Bias Fields. He also lovingly embraced his stepchildren, De'Abro Smith, Tavarious Everson, and T'era Howard, as his own.

He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings Stephanie Fields-Wilson, Leona Fields, Gregory Fields and John Irvin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly.

Leonard dedicated 30 years of service to Western Publishing in Racine, Wisconsin, where he retired as a Machinist. He attended Washington Park High School, where wrestling became one of his greatest passions. In 2001, Leonard moved to Appleton, Wisconsin, where he made many lasting memories and friendships. For the last four years, he worked for Fox Valley Cab. Leonard truly enjoyed driving, talking, and spending time with loved ones. One of his greatest joys in life was being a grandfather to his seven beloved grandchildren: Trenell, Dailen, Jazlyn, and Jazelle Fields, Ashanti and Loyalti Hall, Zakius Carroll, and a host of step-grandchildren. Leonard also shared a special bond with his bonus daughter, Trivia Baker, and bonus sons, Darnell and Corey Wilson.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Beverly Fields; his son, Kenton Wilson; his grandparents, Alice and Allen Thurman Sr., and Leola and James Fields; his sister, Beverly Lynn; his brother, Craig Fields Sr.; his nieces, Dorothy Lynn and Jarayah Briggs-Tye ; his nephew, Corey Fields;  and his sister, Pamela Fields-Turner.

Leonard will be remembered for his strength, kindness, sense of humor, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
