~~     Leslie C. Wrixton, 60, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, at her home on Monday, May 12, 2014. Leslie was born in Racine on September 16, 1953, the daughter of the late Louis R. and Carol E. (Nelson) Petras. On September 14, 1974, in Atonement Lutheran Church, she was united in marriage to her soul mate Robert W. Wrixton Jr. Leslie was a 1971 graduate of Washington Park High School. She had been employed as a sous chef by the Somerset Club, a position she truly loved. Leslie was a life-long member of Atonement Lutheran Church. One of her greatest joys was the time she spent cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. Her family was the true great love in her life, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her loving husband, Robert W. Wrixton Jr.; their daughters, Lauri (Ron) Bailey, of Racine, and Kelly (Nick) Blish, of West Bend; grandchildren, Madeline and Joshua Bailey; sister, Lin (Roy) Peterson, of Racine; mother-in-law, Delphi Wrixton, of Bohners Lake, WI; sisters-in-law, Susan (Thomas) Hallingstad of Burlington and Nancy (Mike) Newbury of Bohners Lake, WI; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Leslie was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert W. Wrixton Sr. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held in the funeral home on Monday, May 19th, at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Warren Williams officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Private inurnment will take place at a later date in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society or Wisconsin Lutheran School.
