Racine – Lillie Bell (nee: King) Graham was born on March 28, 1947 to the union of Dewey Lee and Rosie Lee (Nee: Pickens) King in Myrtle, Mississippi.
Lillie received her formal education at Myrtle Elementary School in Myrtle, MS and upon consolidation of the local schools Lillie attended B.F. Ford High School in New Albany, Mississippi, where she graduated on May 23, 1966.
Lillie accepted Christ as her Savior in Myrtle, MS at the age of 12 and united with Pine Bluff Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and served as Sunday School Secretary. She was employed by Futorian Furniture Frame as an inspector until moving to Racine, Wisconsin in 1976. Lillie became employed by American Motors Corporation/Chrysler while in Wisconsin and later relocated to the Chrysler plant in Toledo, Ohio where she retired after many years of dedicated service. Several years ago she returned to Racine, Wisconsin and united with St. Paul Baptist Church.
Lillie was active in church as well as her community. She was a member of gospel groups, The Spiritualettes and The Shining Stars, she served in the community as a member of the Daughters of Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (I.B.P.O.E) and The Palace of Children. Lillie also enjoyed cooking, singing, playing basketball, shooting pool and darts. Her beloved dog "Bubba" held a special place in her heart. Family meant the world to Lillie so every moment she spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives was very precious to her.
Lillie departed this life on Sunday, August 25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Rosie King; one sister Lenora Higgenbottom; three brothers Murphy, Lawrence and Clarence King.
Lillie leaves to cherish her memories two daughters Karlos (Stacey) Bland of Racine, WI and Wanda Graham of Toledo, OH; one son Lee Graham of Racine, WI; eleven grandchildren LaVontay (Markisha) Fenderson, LaTasha Fenderson both of Racine, WI, LaQuan (Ashley) Fenderson of Milwaukee, WI, Krontaiya (Deonte') Moss, Irene Allen, Arthur Green all of Toledo, OH, Rayna Graham of Charlotte, North Carolina, Leeia Terrell, Kennedy Graham both of Memphis, Tennessee, Shakena McClelland of Dallas, Texas and Dominique Meeks of Minnetonka, Minnesota; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters Eteria McWilliams, Gladys Ivy both of Racine, WI and Canary (Lonnie) Gardner of Myrtle, MS; one brother A.B. (Barbara) King of Rockford, Illinois; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends, as well as her dear friends, Mary Lockridge and Inell Heard.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 30, 2019 for the visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A service celebrating Lillie's life will follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
