Obituary

Racine- Linda Marie Dresen-Coey, 32, passed away at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital on Friday, August 13, 2010 after a courageous 10-year battle with Leukemia. Linda was born in Racine on April 18, 1978 to Margaret (nee: Kiern) Arneson and James Dresen Jr. She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1996. While at Park High, Linda met her high-school sweetheart and the love of her life, Mark Coey. Diagnosed with CML-Leukemia 10 years ago, Linda never let the cancer get the best of her. A true inspiration to all who knew her, she remained extremely positive throughout the countless treatments and procedures. Among her interests, Linda enjoyed arts and crafts – especially beading; baking, reading, surfing the internet and loved to Karaoke. Above all, she was a loving wife and phenomenal mother, who cherished every moment spent with her entire family.

Surviving are her husband, Mark Coey; their daughters, Madisin (age 9) and Brooklin (age 4); mother and step-father, Margaret and Trent Arneson; father, James Dresen, Jr.; sister, Bonita Salinas; brothers, Jacob Dresen, Joshua Dresen, and Joshua House; grandmothers, Delores Bulmann and Karen Pinnecker; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Melvin and Jane Coey; sister-in-law, Kim (Kevin) Coey; uncle, Robin (Ilda) Dresen; nieces and nephews, Kali Dresen, Ethan Salinas, Scott and Stephanie Coey; great-nephew, Mayson Halliday-Coey; many other dear relatives and friends, too numerous to mention all by name. Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Bernita Dresen; and Walter Bulmann; and uncles, Richard and William Dresen.

A public visitation will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, August 16 th , from 5-7 pm. In accordance with Linda's wishes, private funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Linda Dresen Benefit Account (c/o: Johnson Bank) have been suggested.

A heartfelt note of thanks to all the medical staff, family and friends who have been overwhelmingly supportive, in so many ways, during Linda's long journey with Leukemia. Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
