Racine – Linda Faye Prince, age 58, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
Linda was born in Columbus, Mississippi on November 16, 1957 to Roy Lee Tompkins and Willie Mae Prince. She graduated from S.D. Lee High School in 1975 and from Gateway Technical College in 2002 with a degree in human services. She served our community as a youth counselor for many years at Southern Oaks Girls School.
Linda was a proud member of Christian Faith Fellowship Church in Zion, IL. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with family & friends.
Surviving are her loving son, Kevin Prince; grandchildren, Devin, Jordan & Nevaeh Prince; sisters, Brenda Prince, Deane Prince-Taylor and Jean Prince; brother, Dale Prince; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Roy Lee Tompkins; mother, Willie Mae Prince; and grandmother, Hattie B. Clark.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at Christian Faith Fellowship Church (1727 27th Street Zion, IL 60099). Interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Columbus, Mississippi.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Ms. Prince. I worked with her for many years at Southern Oaks. What a wonderful woman!
I am happy I got to see her this summer at the S. Oaks reunion. She will be greatly missed.
Her smiling face will always be remembered.
