RACINE – Mrs. Lisa W. Ludwig, 88, passed away at WFH – All Saints on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
She was born in Einbeck, Germany on September 28, 1926, the daughter of the late Heinrich and Hermine (nee: Ellies) Seeger. On July 9, 1954 she married Paul Josef Ludwig. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1993.
Lisa was a longtime member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Deutsche Frauenverein. She enjoyed crocheting, working in her flower garden and being in the company of her daughters and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved her.
Her survivors include her daughters, Elke (Jeff) Hill, Jutta (Jeff) Ludwig-Kennedy, Sylvia (Joseph) Schimanski; her grandchildren, Matthew (Vivian) Hill, Steven Hill, Lindsay (Austin) Kennedy, Janae Schimanski; her great grandchildren, Sofia and Nikolas; her sister, Marlene Ludwig; her sister-in-law, Marian Ludwig all of Racine; as well as many nieces and nephews locally and in Germany. She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, a brother and extended family.
Family and friends are invited to meet at First Evangelical Lutheran Church (728 Villa St.) on Thursday, March 12, 2015 for a visitation from 10:30-11:30 a.m. A service remembering and celebrating Lisa’s life will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. John D. Roekle officiating. Her interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
Lisa’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to all the doctors and staff the All Saints ER, ICU and Comfort Care for the exceptional attention she received while under their care.
