Lloyd E. Dissmore, 94, of Kenosha, WI, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. He was born in Whitehall, WI on January 2, 1928, the son of Rueben and Minnie (nee: Johnson) Dissmore.

Lloyd graduated from Blair High School in 1945. In 1946 he joined the U.S. Air Force and served 3 yrs. post WWII, earning the World War II Victory Medal. On September 20, 1959, in Dearborn, MI, he married Helen Kachaturoff. Helen preceded him in death on October 30, 2001. Mr. Dissmore had been employed by the Tri-Clover Ladish Company for over 30 years. He attended Prayer House Assembly, and First Assembly of God/Journey Church. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a long standing member of The EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association). He was the oldest member of the Moms for Liberty group.

Mr. Dissmore lived a long and full life. At age 79, he made his first tandem parachute/sky diving jump out of an airplane. He enjoyed collecting pens, eating ice cream, listening to blue grass and gospel music, audio file, going to car, air and pen shows. And was also known for doing cartwheels. Lloyd also enjoyed attending his grandchildren and great-grand children's activities and games. He loved being around his family and other people. Lloyd went on many adventures and would constantly talk or write to people, even writing or calling business owners, such as Mr. Fisher, inventor of the Fisher Space Pen, and Boyd Willat, inventor of the Sensa pen. He was known for, and loved, making up puns or pun stories. In fact, he could go on for a half hour or more making up a pun story on a single subject. In 2006 Lloyd won Third Place in the High-Lies/Low-Puns Category in the 29 ^th Annual 2006 Pun-Off World Champion.

Surviving are his two daughters, Dulcie (Dave) Schoff and Sheila Dissmore, all of Kenosha, WI; grandchildren, Kirsten Dissmore, Heidi (Robert) Thomas, all of Bristol, WI, Jacob Schoff, Joshua Schoff, both of Kenosha; great-grandchildren, Brogan Thomas, Adalynn Thomas, both of Bristol; brother-in-law, Sam Kachaturoff, sister-in-law, Cheryl Kachaturoff; and grand-pups, Scoop, Cooper, and Hazel. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and church family also survive him. In addition to his parents, and beloved wife, Mr. Dissmore was preceded in death by siblings: Ruby Dissmore, Frances Ruetten, James Dissmore, Robert Dissmore, Ruth Rosenberg, and Richard Dissmore.

Service Details

The celebration of his life will be held at the Prayer House Assembly, 1525, 24 ^th Ave., Kenosha on Tuesday, May 17 ^th , at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Ronald Auch Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
