Lois B. Asplund, 92, passed away Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints on January 12, 2011; her 92 ^nd Birthday. Mrs. Asplund was born in Racine on January 12, 1919 the daughter of the late Murray Scott and Sarah (nee: Fischer) Barr. She had been a lifetime resident of Racine.

On September 26, 1947, here in Racine, she was united in marriage to Robert Asplund who preceded her in death on October 16, 2008. Mrs. Asplund was a 1937 graduate of Washington Park High School. She had been employed by the Von Schrader Co. for over 20 years. Mrs. Asplund was a member of the Pythian Sisters.

Surviving are her nieces, Susie Johnson, Barbara (Gary) Walker, of Gilbert, AZ, and Susie (Mike) O'Brien, of Campbell, CA; and great nephew, Christopher Walker. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Asplund was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Johnson and Jacquie Kautzer.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Asplund was cremated and private services will be held later in the Spring.
