Lois E. Russo, 86, died on Friday, November 28, 2008. She was born in Racine on October 14, 1922 the daughter of the late William and Clara (nee: Lang) Gehm. On October 17, 1942, she married Anthony R. Russo in Racine. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1998. Mrs. Russo was a member of Countryside Humane Society. She enjoyed cooking, doing crafts, and knitting. Surviving are her children, Marilyn (James H.) Benson and Jeffrey W. Russo; grandsons, Robert (Darlene) Benson of Yorkville, James J. (Tammy) Benson of Roseville, IL; great-grandchildren, Jonah, Anthony, Aaron, Jamie; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kara Baylor officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family has suggested memorials to the Countryside Humane Society.
