Lori S. Pingel-Horn, age 50, passed away on June 30, 2024.

Lori was born on April 22, 1974, in Amory, WI, the daughter of Willis A. and Karen L. (Krause) Pingel.

She attended Olympia Brown Elementary, Gilmore Middle School, and was a graduate of William Horlick High School.

Lori went on to receive her Associate Degree in Social Work from Gateway Technical College.

On December 10, 1993, at Holy Communion Lutheran Church she was united in marriage to James Horn.

Lori was a country music lover, especially the band Little Big Town and Toby Keith.  She had a special place in her heart for the many cats she mothered throughout the years.

Lori is survived by her parents, Bill and Karen Pingel; a brother, Mark (Kathy) Pingel of Chesapeake VA; her nephews, Michael Pingel of Charleston, SC and Steven (Kim) Pingel of Chesapeake, VA; her great-nephews, Carter and Colin Pingel; her special friends, Jenny Willems, and Pat, Don, and Laurie Nielsen, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, including her Godparents, Corvin and Chris Pingel.

Service Details

A celebration of Lori's life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 12 o'clock Noon at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home.  A visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances can be made to the WI Humane Society.
