Obituary

Racine— Lorraine R. (nee: Goll) Breheim, 89, passed away peacefully at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center on Wednesday, December 29, 2010.

Lorrainewas born in Oak Creek, WI on September 7, 1921 to the late William H. and Lydia (nee: Erbach) Goll. She graduated from South Milwaukee High School in 1939. On January 24, 1942 in Zion Lutheran Church – S. Milwaukee, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Arthur "Spanky" Breheim, who preceded her in death on April 4, 1996.

Lorrainewas employed by Western Publishing for over 25 years, retiring in 1985. She was a proud member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. Among her interests, she enjoyed crocheting – especially baby blankets for the Red Cross; playing cards – especially Schafskopf at Humble Park; solving crossword puzzles; had a great appreciation for nature – particularly for cardinals; and was an avid sports fan. Above all, she loved and cherished being in the surroundings of her entire family.

Surviving are her daughter, Diana Breheim; son, David Breheim; grandchildren, Dennis Geissman, Kristin Breheim and Michael Breheim; sisters, Dorothy Burazin and Lucille (Beyla) Zudonyi; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Goll; sister, Bernice Sosnowski; brother-in-law, Joseph Burazin; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Rennie) Dexter and Frieda (George) Keller.

In accordance with Lorraine's wishes, private family services will be held with Rev. Michael Zarling officiating. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. In memory of Lorraine, memorials to Epiphany Lutheran Church have been suggested.

A special note of thanks to the entire staff of Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints, especially the second floor, for the compassionate care and support that was so warmly extended during the past week. May God bless all of you!
