~~     Lorraine B. Jandl, 85, passed away peacefully in Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints, on Sunday, February 15, 2015. She was born in Racine on November 13, 1929, the daughter of the late Surnce "Gil" and Ida (nee: Meyer) Egtvedt. On November 13, 1948, in Waukegan, IL, she was united in marriage to Russell G. Jandl. Together they celebrated 63 loving years until he preceded her in death on June 9, 2011. Lorraine was a longtime Avon representative. She had also been employed by Western Publishing, Kohl's Food Stores, Lee's Flowers, and finally she and her husband, Russ, both were employed by O & H Danish Bakery. Lorraine was a longtime member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the Humble Park Bridge Group, and was an avid bridge player, playing in several bridge clubs. She had a passion for collecting angels and now the angels have collected her. Surviving are her children, Diana (Paul) Wilson, of Grand Rapids, MI, Thomas Jandl, of Racine and David Jandl, of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Daniel (Lori) Wilson, Kimberly (Jeff) Grooters, Kristy Wilson, Dawn Puketa, and Dale (Samantha) Wilson;  great grandchildren, Randi Wilson, Justin Grooters, Kaitlynn Grooters, Kennidi Grooters, Tyler Puketa, Jacob Puketa, Dawson Temple, and Ava Wilson; great-great grandchildren, Jacob, Leo, Payton, Aurora, and Jordan; brother, Robert (Darlene) Egtvedt, of Three Churches, WV; sisters, Ruth Eppler, of Buffalo City, WI, and Beverly Bentley, of Topack, AZ; sisters-in-law, Darlene Meinert and Bea Jandl; special nephews, Mick and Jeff Jandl. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Emily Rose Southwell, two sisters, Janet Lowenhagen and Marilyn Brehm, and three brothers-in-law, Roy Brehm, James Eppler, and Darvin Bentley. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, February 20th, at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Karen L. Jost officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Private burial will take place in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Union Grove. The family has suggested memorials to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
