Louis Joseph Arnone, age 94, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, July 10, 2026 at Siena on the Lake Assisted Living.

A lifetime resident of Racine, WI, he was born on March 23, 1932, to the late Joseph and Emelia (nee: Aceto) Arnone. He graduated from Sacred Heart, St. Catherine's High School and Gateway Technical College. He faithfully served our country in the United States Navy in 1952 and was transferred into the US Marine Corps as a hospital corpsman medic until 1956 when he was discharged as a 1 ^st Class Petty Officer.

On May 17, 1958 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton, WI, Louis was united in marriage with Joan M. (nee: Fox) Arnone. With a profound work ethic, Lou was employed with WE Energies as a senior property record analyst for over 32 years. In addition, Lou also enjoyed working at Novak Appliance & Kortendick Ace Hardware and served as an umpire for city league women's softball – for over 20 years.

Louis & Joan were charter members of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church since 1965 where he had served on the parish council. Proud of his Italian heritage, he was a member of Roma Lodge since 1973 where he was active in the Bocce league. He also volunteered on the Memorial Hall commission for several years. Lou was a Brewers & Packers fan and looked forward to having breakfast with WE Energies retirees and with his brothers from Roma Lodge. Above all, Lou was an extreme family man who loved being together with his entire family.

Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Joan; their children, David (Nan) Arnone, Donald (Kathy) Arnone and Carrie (Scott) Fregien; grandchildren, David (Loraine), Sophie and Emelia Arnone; great-granddaughter, Amelia Arnone; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Lou was preceded in death by Joan's parents, Peter and Blanche (nee: Brandes) Fox; brother-in-law, Richard Fox and sister-in-law, Carole (Bill) Cavanaugh.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 11:00 am in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street in Racine. Military honors and a luncheon will follow. Visitation will be at St. Paul Church on Tuesday from 10-11 am (Brothers of Roma Lodge will offer a brief tribute at 10:30 am). Private entombment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorials to St. Catherine's High School or St. Paul the Apostle Parish have been suggested.
