Lucille Huven

Dec 12, 1922 – Apr 1, 2010

Lucille E. Huven, 87, passed away in the WFH-All Saints Medical Center on Thursday, April 1, 2010. She was born in Antigo, WI, on December 12, 1922, the daughter of the late Robert and Charlotte (nee Boggs) Harris. On October 11, 1946 she was united in marriage to Frank Huven, who preceded her in death on July 5, 2004. At one time, she had been employed by the Hamilton Beach Co. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Lucille enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and working in her flower and herb gardens. Surviving are her children, Kaye (Rick) Panyk of Racine and Robert (Helen) Huven of Temperance, MI; 2 granddaughters, Melissa Wilson and Hannah Huven; 2 great-grandsons, Tyler Wilson and Jayden Romaine; brother, Glen (Lorraine) Harris, of Kenosha, sister-in-law Julia “Vi” Harris, of Chicago; special friends, Ann Mandli and Beverly Zurawski, both of Racine. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Harris. A Memorial Service celebrating Lucille’s life will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, April 10th at 12 noon, with Chaplain Julie Curcio officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on April 10, from 10:30 until the time of the service. Private inurnment will be held in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family would like to publicly thank the Mount Pleasant Fire Department EMT’s, WFH-All Saints Emergency Department, Dr. Richard Pierce-Ruhland, Dr. Carroll Martin, and the staff at Lincoln Lutheran Adult Day Services for their compassion and care they gave Lucille over the last year.
