RACINE  – Madie Beatrice (Mullens) Riley received a call from heaven on Friday February 6, 2015 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee WI.  It was her loving savior, whom she adored… so she answered the call and went home to glory.

Madie was born in Okolona, MS on October 15, 1935 to the late Lucinda (Hughes) Ezell and Homer Mullens.  She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Jolly Chapel M.B. Church in Okolona, MS.

Madie relocated to Racine in 1951 and has maintained her fellowship with God under the leadership of Pastor Willie Riley and Searching Together Baptist Church Family.  She served on the Mother Board, Willing Workers, and Mission Workers, and was also a member of the "Church Goers" Club.

She enjoyed dining out going to movies and shopping.  She loved music primary gospel and blues; and had a knack for order and cleanliness.

In 1953 Madie was united in marriage to James C Riley.  She was employed by St. Luke's Hospital and Chrysler Motors.  She retired from Chrysler in 1989.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories one son, Joey (Regina) Riley;  three daughters Walinda (Terry) Lockridge whom she was her caregiver, granddaughter, daughter; one step daughter Wendy Nunn all of Racine WI and Hazel "Ressie" (Eddie) Tucker of Verona MS; two sisters, Hazel (Tommie) Ivy and Celia (Bishop Willie Ware) of Okolona MS; four brothers Romer Lee "Flash" Mullens of Racine, WI, Willie C. (Ginger) Ezell, Johnnie (Lena) Ezell of Okolona, MS and Fred Mullens of St. Louis, MO; two brothers-in-law,  Arthur (Tina) Riley and Pastor Willie (Alice) Riley of Racine and one sister-in-law, Bertha Swanigan of Kenosha WI and grandchildren Joey (Becky), Jalen, Darius and Rhea and DeSario and Shemekia; as well as a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loving friends.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Emma Reader and numerous sisters and brothers.

Family and friends are invited to meet at Searching Together Baptist Church (825 21st Street) on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of her life and Homegoing with Pastor Willie Riley officiating.  There will be a visitation in the church on Saturday from 9-11 a.m.  Her interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
