Obituary

Mae Dora (nee: High) Kimmons, age 87, entered eternal life on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at home in Racine, Wisconsin with her children and grandchildren at her bedside. Mae Dora was born on September 28, 1932 in New Albany, Mississippi to John and Zettie Mae (nee: McCullen) High. She received her formal education in the New Albany School District and was a graduate of BF Ford High School.

Mae Dora married Curtis Kimmons and the two relocated to Racine, WI where they began their life together and from that union 3 children were born. Mae Dora loved Christ and had her own personal relationship with God. She was employed as a Food Service Worker for the Racine College/Dekoven Foundation. She enjoyed reading, writing down her thoughts in notebooks, taking walks in her community and she was passionate about cooking. Mae Dora was a phenomenal woman who touched us all in different ways. Most importantly she was a smiling face to whomever she encountered.
