Maedelle Charlotte (nee: Boris) Erickson, affectionately known as "Mitzi" her entire life, age 82, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded with the love of her family, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

One of 13 children, Mitzi was born in Marshfield, WI on January 11, 1944 to the late Peter and Delores (nee: Zettler) Boris. She was a graduate of Athens High School in Athens, WI. On February 1, 1964 at St. John's Catholic Church in Edgar, WI, Mitzi was united in marriage with Rodney Paul Erickson. She was employed as a repair specialist at InSinkErator for over 33 years, retiring in 2002.

Mitzi and Rod have been proud members of St. Lucy Catholic Church since 1970. She was also a member of the ISE 10 Year Club. A kind woman who was down to earth and enjoyed the simple things in life, Mitzi played city league softball, volleyball & bowling; ceramics, gardening, roses, baking, crocheting & knitting; and had a great appreciation for live theater – having been a season ticket holder at The Fireside for many, many years. Above all, she loved and cherished being with her entire family.

Surviving are her husband of over 62 years, Rod; their daughter, Wanda Erickson; grandchildren, Samantha (Troi Fechner) Gonzales, Maria (Edwin Rivera) Flores, Cassie (Andy Cvetnic) Suarez, Nicole (Curtis) Lane and Austin Suarez; great-grandchildren, Ty Jensen, Syris Fechner; Devvin Flores, Myla Rivera; Emma Suarez, Jaiden Ziomber, Lillian, Kye & Kinsley Cvetnic; and Asher Suarez; brothers & sisters, Beverly Kremsreiter, Kathleen "Kitty" Lehman, Peter (Margaret "Marney") Boris, Raymond (Char) Boris, Charlene "Chuck" (Russ) Jannke, Linda Boris Leitzke, Karen (Jim) Sparkey, Mike (Renee) Boris and Richard Boris; sisters-in-law, Joyce Boris and Kathy Larson; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends – too numerous to mention all by name.

In addition to her parents, Mitzi was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kim Erickson DuMont; brothers, Jim Boris, Ervin "Butch" Boris, Dwight Boris; Rod's parents, Alice Erickson (Granquist), Arnold Erickson and step-mother Helen (Dohls) Erickson; brothers-in-law & sister-in-law, Ed Erickson, George Kremsreiter, Ed Lehman and Charlotte Boris.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11:00 am in St. Lucy Catholic Church (3101 Drexel Avenue in Racine, WI) with Fr. Timothy Sanchez officiating. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 8 ^th , from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and in the church on Thursday from 10-11 am. In memory of Mitzi, memorials to "Camp One Step" (who provide free year-round camp experiences for children with cancer) or to a cancer charity of your choice.
