Racine- Mardell J. (nee: Ager) Fisher, age 63 years young, passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, at Aurora Mount Pleasant Hospital on Friday, January 30, 2026. She was a 30-year cancer survivor warrior, battling several bouts with various types of cancer. Through the compassionate and competent medical care provided by the staffs of Mayo Clinic and Aurora Hospital, we were blessed to be given these past 30 years of life and love with our beautiful wife & mom, Mardell.
A lifetime resident, Mardell was born in Racine, WI on August 20, 1962 to the late Kenneth and Ivadell (nee: LaRose) Ager. On July 27, 1985 in Calvary Baptist Church – Sturtevant, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Robert D. Fisher.
A proud graduate of Union Grove Baptist School, she went on to earn her B.A. in English from Carthage College (with honors and member of Alpha Chi), while she was employed as the Carthage College event coordinator for over 22 years.
Mardell was a faithful member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection where she had taught Sunday School. She had also volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader. Mardell was quite creative & crafty and loved every second of being together with her entire family.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Rob; son, Nicholas (Cassandra) Fisher; daughter, Samantha (Ethan Angeles) Fisher; adored granddaughter, Ellison (age 5); mother-in-law, Audrey (Frank) Studrawa; brothers-in-law, Tom (Lisa) Fisher and Jim (Jean) Fisher; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Melonie (Chuck) Wahl and Marlene (Jess) Holbrook; brother, William Ager; and father-in-law, Donald Fisher.
