
Margarita Villarreal, 65, passed away, unexpectedly, at her residence on Sunday, January 24, 2010. She was born in Pearsall, TX on June 10, 1944, the daughter of the late Sisto and Alijandra (nee: Rodriquez) Placencia. Margarita was a homemaker and mother with a deep and loving faith in God. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends and was passionate about strengthening family ties and bringing people together. She found ways to connect people in need with people who could help and gave of her time to bring positive change in the lives of others. Surviving are her children, Sandra Villarreal, Gwendolyn Villarreal, and John Paul (Emilie) Villarreal, all of Racine; brothers and sisters; James (Alice) Placencia, Racine, Racine, Oscar Placencia, Texas, Linda (Luis) Davalos, Terry Malacara, Janie Cardona, Mary Ramirez, and Felix Placencia, all of Racine; sister-in-law Mary Placencia, also of Racine. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Sisto Placencia and Jesse Placencia. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 28th, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church, 15th and Grand Ave., with Rev. Ronald J. Gramza officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and in the church on Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32.
