Racine – Maria A. Perez, 59, passed away in Indianapolis, Indiana on Sunday, September 14, 2008. She was born in Mexico on July 22, 1949, but was a Racine area resident for many years. Maria took great pleasure in providing a home for her family that was filled with love. She was happiest when she was together with them. Cooking, baking, and playing Loteria were among her favorite pastimes. She was a member of Cristo Rey Parish. Maria is survived by her children, Rosa (Isidoro) Cordova, Laura Blanca Camacho, Leticia Ramirez, Marbella Garcia, Mario Martinez, and Karina Acosta; her father, Jose Pablo Acosta; 15 grandchildren, Emanuel, Veronica, Yurida, Maria, Mayra, Yesenia, Marco, Anyssa, Augustine, Chavilita, Mario, Jr., Leticia, Bianca, Ethan, and Selena; brother, Maury (Christina) Acosta; sisters, Guadalupe (Arnulfo) Delgado, Esthervina (Horacio) Hernandez, and Martha (Eduardo) Rios; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends here and in Mexico. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Acosta Garcia; her son, Juan Pablo Martinez; and brother, Juan Pablo Acosta. A memorial mass will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Cristo Rey Parish. Visitation will begin in the church at 5:00 p.m.
