Marianne
Boeck-Hamlin
Jan 18, 1944 — May 17, 2026
Marianne Boeck-Hamlin (née Metzger), 82, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026.
Born on January 18, 1944, in Racine, Wisconsin, Marianne was the daughter of Edward Metzger and Susan Metzger (née Rorek). She graduated from St. Catherine's High School and, after high school, married and built a family, welcoming her two sons, Scott and Aaron, who remained the pride and joy of her life. If you asked Marianne, she would have said that being a mother and later a grandmother were the most important and meaningful roles she ever had.
Marianne built a dedicated career as an HR representative for First Tennessee Corporation, where she was responsible for payroll services. Over the years, she moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona, and later to Olympia, Washington, creating lasting memories and friendships along the way. Once her children were grown, Marianne cherished spending time with her children and their families, traveling between Washington, California, and visiting loved ones in Wisconsin.
Marianne will be remembered most for her loving and devoted nature, especially as a grandmother. Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her sons, Scott (Michelle) Boeck and Aaron (Jen) Boeck; her beloved grandchildren, Kaylee, Cole, Jacob, and Elijah Boeck; and her siblings, Edward (Barbara) Metzger and Judy Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Hamlin.
Marianne's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In honor or Marianne and the family's wishes no service will take place.
