Mrs. Marilyn Rae Eaton, 76, passed away unexpectedly at WFH – All Saints on Saturday, January 7, 2012.

She was born in Sturtevant, WI on April 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia (nee: Binstock) Palmer.  Marilyn attended the Sturtevant Grade School and lived and worked in the Sturtevant area her entire life.   On December 23, 1967, she married Sheldon "Chet" Eaton at the Spanish Chapel of the Racine Bible Church in Racine.  He preceded her in death on November 5, 1999.

Marilyn had various jobs and careers throughout her life.  However, she was most proud of her work as a crossing guard for the Village of Sturtevant assisting many Schulte students over 23 years.  She retired as a greeter at Walmart.  Her dedication toward helping others had a tremendous impact on everyone around her.

Marilyn thoroughly enjoyed the company of many friends at her residence at Kilarney Kourt.  Some of her favorite hobbies included, crocheting, Skippo and interesting enough, Wii league bowling.

Living to cherish her precious memories is her daughter, Sue (Gary) Voss of Sturtevant; grandchildren, Steve (Jackie) Voss and their children, David, Ian and Genevieve of Racine, Pat (Sarah) Voss and their children, Chloe and Isabella of Colgate, WI, Jennifer McNeal and her children, Kayla , Kearra and Kassidy of Racine;  her brother, Bruce "Pudge" Judy Palmer formerly of Sturtevant, now of Fox Lake, WI; her sister, Muriel "Boots" (Richard) Amos of Sturtevant; special aunt, Violet Schmidt of Burlington;  as well many dear relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her aunt, Dorothy (Howard) Nelson.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. for a service celebrating Marilyn's life.  There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4-6 p.m. A private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
