Mt. Pleasant – Marion E. Roiniotis, age 75, of Mount Pleasant passed away June 18, 2012 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Marion was born October 24, 1936 in Hillsboro, WI to Leo and Edith (Solchenberger) Noonan. After the death of her mother, Marion was raised by her loving uncle, James Ennis and aunt, Cunegunda (Solchenberger) Ennis. She attended school in Wonewoc, WI. She married James T. Roiniotis on November 19, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois.
She enjoyed music and was a lifelong avid singer. She was a long time resident of Kenosha where she raised her family. She was employed at Tops Department Store and Ladish Tri-Clover. She was a member of St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Racine.
Marion will be sadly missed by her loving husband James of Mount Pleasant; five sons, Thomas (Michelle) of Longmont, Colorado, William (Lisa) of Kenosha; Gregory (Tracey) of Batavia, Illinois; Paul (Brenda) and James (MaryAnn) both of Kenosha; three sisters, Shirley (Channing) Brown of Huntley, IL; Marie Stahlke of Wonewoc, WI; Rosalie (Gerald) Sanderson of Elroy, WI; and brother Rollie (Connie) Huebsch of West Salem, WI; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; four sisters-in-law Shirley Noonan; Dina (Peter) Kolyvas; Georgia Roiniotis; Bessie (William) Hodes; brother-in-law Alex Roiniotis; cousin Judy (Donald) Skailand of Salem, WI; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents Leo and Edith, she was preceded in death by her parents James and Cunegunda (Solchenberger) Ennis, stepmother Dorothy Huebsch-Noonan, six brothers, Andy Noonan, Sylvester, Irwin, Lawrence, Fr. James and William Ennis; and four sisters, Agnes Sebranek, Alice Sebranek, Leona Lankey and Monica Sosinski.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel, at 9:00 am. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and in the church on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Kenosha. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to Hospice Alliance, 10220 Prairie Ridge Dr. Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Froedtert Memorial Hospital and Hospice Alliance for their tender care for Marion over the past year.
