Racine – Mark Richard Schultz, 62, passed away at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Thursday, October 20, 2016. He was born in Racine on November 12, 1953, son of the late Richard and Maria (nee: MacDonald) Schultz. Shortly after graduating from Horlick High School in 1971, Mark served in the US Army as an EOD specialist. On January 4, 1992 he was married to Mary Ellen Conklin.
Mark devoted many years working as an inspector at Jacobsen Manufacturing. In his free time, he enjoyed dancing (of which he instructed and loved doing with his wife), fishing and golf; woodworking and home repair; and working in his vegetable garden. He was a family man through and through, and a true man of God.
Mark is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Schultz; daughter Elizabeth (Anthony) Alvarado of Racine; grandchildren Lucinda Alvarado, Marcus Alvarado, Max Mercury Alvarado, and Anthony Alvarado Jr. all of Racine; brothers David Schultz of Racine and Richard (Ning Wang) Schultz of Indiana; nieces Rachael (James) Sizemore, JiaBao Wang, and JiaBei Wang; nephews Damian Christopherson and Mario Christopherson; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church (728 Villa Street) at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 with Rev. John D. Roekle officiating. Interment and military honors will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation in the church will begin at 10:00 a.m.
