Memorial Suggestions
In memory of Mark, please offer a kind deed to someone in need.

Mark Todd Johnson passed away peacefully at Sheridan Nursing Home/Rehab Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin on March 5, 2026 under the tender care of Allay Hospice.
He was born on March 8, 1962 in Racine, Wisconsin. Mark was a gentle, quiet man of few words. In the early 1980’s he enlisted and served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, after which he settled in Texas and worked as a long haul semi truck driver. He eventually returned to Racine where he had various jobs including climbing electrical poles to install cable lines.
In 2014, Mark had a stroke and spent 6 months being rehabilitated at the same nursing home where he died 12 years later. Then in 2017 and again in 2020 he suffered 2 more strokes making him permanently disabled and no longer able to live independently.
He moved into a beautiful assisted living adult family home where he received excellent care. Unfortunately, Mark continued to experience multiple health problems and a few months before he died, moved to Sheridan Nursing Home and enrolled in hospice.
Mark was preceded in death by his father David Johnson, mother Carol and stepfather Laudie Brydl, sister Roxanne King and brother Jonathan Johnson. He is survived by a sister Suzanne Soderlund, cousin Tammy King, several nieces and nephews and devoted friend Joannie Williams.
Tammy and Joannie want to thank Nurse Dana, Social Worker Kristy and Chaplain Tia of ALLAY HOSPICE for their dedicated care of Mark during his final journey. Special mention also goes to Samantha Morales in whose group home Mark enjoyed excellent care for 5 years. We also want to thank Mike Langendorf and the Langendorf Funeral Home for their invaluable kindness and generosity helping us navigate end of life details.
