Racine – Martha Louise Bedford made her transition from this life to eternal life on December 26, 2014, at the age of 67.  She was born to the union of John Wesley and Minnie Mae Bedford on September 19, 1947, in Maben, Mississippi.

She was a devoted stay-at-home mother for most of her life, but later became employed at Warren Packaging Inc. for twenty years.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, one daughter, Jamie L. Bedford of Racine; two sons, Darin Bedford of Racine, and Devere Bedford of Tupelo, Mississippi;  seven  grandchildren;  five brothers, Tommie Bedford of Milwaukee, Joe (Verline) Bedford, Donald Bedford, John (Mary) Bedford of Racine, and Robert Bedford of Radford, VA; three sisters, Minnie Varnado of Fayetteville, NC, Mary Jeffries and Maybelle (James) Easley of Racine; one sister-in-law, Shirley Bedford of Racine; and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Minnie Mae Bedford; brothers, Wesley and Odell Bedford; sisters, Lorene Cobb and Pearlie Mae Bedford.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015, 5:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 – 5:00pm.  God called her home and she is now resting in peace.
