Per Mary’s wishes, a private family service will be held.

Mary Carmen Rangel, age 73, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born in Racine, WI, on August 12, 1952. She graduated from Horlick High School. Mary dedicated many years of service to the Racine Unified School District, working in custodial services. She took pride in her work and in being a part of her community.
She will be remembered as a kind and generous soul who always saw the good in others. Mary was the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a strong woman who endured many hardships throughout her life yet always found a way to overcome them with resilience and grace. Her laughter, warmth, and loving spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Mary found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved thrifting, playing lotería, and spending time eating out with family. She was also known for her unique collections, especially her beloved monkeys and socks. One of her most treasured traditions was making tamales with her family, creating memories that will live on for generations.
She lived by the words, “Where one eats, we all eat,” a reflection of her generous heart and the way she cared for those around her.
Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her children, Mario (Amanda), Roberta (William), Sonia Marie (Edgar), and Marco (Joanna). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Reyna, Mario, Daisy, Marco, Rico, Mando, Juliano, Mia, Vincent, Ariana, Milio, Mariah, and Adriano, along with 11 cherished great-grandchildren who brought her immense happiness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Mateo.
Mary Carmen Rangel will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her love, strength, and the family legacy she leaves behind.
