Wauwatosa (formerly of Racine)- Mary Therese Donahue (nee: Korzinek), 76, passed away at St. Camillus Assisted Living in Wauwatosa on Saturday, May 05, 2012, following a brave ten-year struggle with Alzheimer's Disease.

A 1953 graduate of St. Catherine's High School, she went on to graduate from Marquette University's College of Nursing in 1957, and becoming a registered nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in Racine.  On November 26, 1960, Mary was united in marriage with her love, James Peter Donahue, in St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Following many years in the more difficult career as mother, Mary returned to nursing at High Ridge Hospital and later Becker-Shoop Nursing Home.  Quiet and secure in her faith, a daily attendee at mass, she patiently took on all of the challenges life brought her, her family, and her friends.

Mary having grown up on a small farm on Racine's then rural 4 Mile Road, she loved the countryside. For years she could be found on daily walks around Sanders Park with her husband and children.  She also enjoyed gardening, socializing with friends and family, and travel.

Surviving Mary are her children, Kevin Donahue, Maureen Donahue, Michael (Emma 'Paty') Donahue and Brian Donahue; grandchildren, Thomas, Marcus and Emma Donahue; sister, Geraldine Botting; sister-in-law, Merle Donahue and by special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Peter Donahue; brothers, Fr. Richard Korzinek OSC, Fr. Wilbur Korzinek SVD – Glenmary, Gene Korzinek; brother-in-law, Robert Botting, and sister-in-law, Sue Korzinek (nee: Anastasia).

In accordance with Mary's wishes, cremation will take place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 6:00 pm in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 4-6 pm.  Private interment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In memory of Mary, memorials to St Camillus, St. Lucy Church or to the Alzheimer's Association have been suggested.
