Racine – Mary Elois Moore, 78, received the promise of eternal life on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. She was born in New Albany, MS, on March 7, 1936, daughter of the late John and Minnie (nee: Mallory) King.
Mary was united in marriage to the love of her life, John Paul Moore, on January 6, 1956. John preceded her in death in June 1998.
Mary was a member of Greater Mount Eagle Missionary Baptist Church where she was involved with The Mission Department and The Mother Board. Mary also enjoyed bowling and tending to her yard before her health no longer allowed her to do these things. Mary loved her family dearly and cherished the time spent with them.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her son, John (Kathy) Moore of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Michael Thurman of Racine, Nicholas Moore of Kenosha; aunt, Bernice Bailey of New Albany, MS; a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors too numerous to mention.
In addition to her parents and husband, John, Mary is preceded in death by her in-laws, Sam (Lilly) Moore; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Benny) Evans.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the GME Mission Department, the GME Mother Board, Edna, Marion, Rosie, Rochelle, Joyce, Maxine, Tammie, The Rogers Sisters, and WFH-Hospice for the love and care given to Mary during her illness and time of need. God bless you all!
