Mary Lee Unrein, 65, died in the Lincoln Village Convalescent Center on Monday, December 29, 2008. Mary Lee was born in Racine on March 15, 1943 the daughter of the late Simon and Bertha (nee: Kreisman) Unrein. She enjoyed playing Bingo and being with her longtime companion Robert Brunner, family and friends. Surviving are her daughter, Pamela (Duane) Smith; 4 grandchildren, Heather, Holly, Heidi, and Duane Jr.; 2 great-granddaughters, Carly and Kayla; brother, Samuel (Judith) Unrein; sisters, Eleanore Bozel, Kathleen (David) Bohn, and Linda (Steve) Emerling all of Racine; sister-in-law Diane Unrein of Kenosha, Robert's children, Roberta, Lori, Dorothy, Frances, Lydia and Peggy. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents her brother Alex, and companion, Robert Brunner preceded her in death. Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6th at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1100 Erie St.. Private inurnment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
