Her Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home on Friday, August 29th  at 3:00 p.m. Private inurnment will take place in Green Ridge Cemetery.

Maryanne Rafferty, 78, of Oviedo, FL, formerly of Kenosha, passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Oviedo on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. She was born in Kenosha on February 20, 1947, the daughter of the late William and Audrey (nee: Johnson) Rafferty Sr.

Maryanne was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Class of ’65, where she appeared in Annie Get Your Gun, Guys and Dolls, and Bye Bye Birdie She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her PHD in Psychotherapy from the University of Texas at Austin.

Maryanne joined the US Public Health Service in 1976 under the U.S. Surgeon General and retired after serving eight years, achieving the rank of Captain. Maryanne was called back to serve during the Covid epidemic.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Christina (Capozzoli) and Andy Harwick, and grandson, Henry Harwick, all of Oviedo, FL; siblings, Jane (Rafferty) and Patrick Thiele, of Stillwater, MN, William and Therese (Kahler) Rafferty Jr., of Oconomowoc. WI, Patricia (Rafferty) and Dr. Curtis Travis, of Eau Claire, WI, and Kevin and Laurie (Coniker) Rafferty, of Kenosha; her former husband, Terrence Lunn, in Florida. Her numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents, Maryanne was preceded death by her husband, Ron Capozzoli.
