MaryLou Rinke, age 96, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026, just shy of her 97 birthday. Born on October 11, 1929, to the late William and Anna (McIntosh) Peterson.

MaryLou met the love of her life, Hilary Bernard Rinke, and was united in marriage on April 7, 1951. They were married for 61 years until he passed in December of 2012.

In her younger years she was an excellent baker. More recently she was a Bingo champion and won bingo bucks at Parkview Gardens. She loved to crochet her Afghans and complete crafts.

She is survived by her children, Garith Rinke of Winston, Oregon, Julaine (Tim) Botting of Manawa, WI, Mari (Dick) Banaszak of Racine, WI, and Hilary Jason (Leah) Rinke of Mosinee, WI; grandchildren Stephanie (Lee) Rinke-Hammel, Thomas (Irene) Botting, Daniel (Betsy) Botting, Jenna (Jake) Stadler, Jared (Alexa) Banaszak, and Rivers Rinke; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, William Peterson; son, Philip Rinke; and grandson, Eric Botting.

A visitation will take place at St. Louis Catholic Church, 13207 County Road G (Hwy G & I94), on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the St. Louis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Louis Catholic Church in her memory.
