RACINE – Maureen A. Smith, 67, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

She was born in Racine on March 3, 1955, the daughter of the late Roy Chris and Mary Jeanette (nee Brown) Smith.  Maureen graduated from JI Case High School in 1973.

Maureen retired from WE Energies after 30 years of service.  She enjoyed her quiet time gardening in her yard and could always be found with a book in her hands.  She loved people and was happiest in the company of her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Jana Rodriguez; her loving partner, Juan Rodriguez, and his son, Antonio Rodriguez; her sisters and brother, Teresa (Bucky) Blaser, Cathleen (Randolph) Rouze, and Ronald C. Smith; her nieces, Kimberly and Elizabeth Rouze; as well as extended family and friends.  In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by her brother, Randall C. Smith.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, for a visitation from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.  A service remembering and celebrating Maureen's life will follow at 4:00 PM.  A private interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer Society.
