Racine- Maurice McCurty .a.k.a. Reese, age 63 was called home by his Heavenly Father on Sunday September 25, 2022 at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Chicago, IL on June 30, 1959, to this union of JB and Geneva McCurty. On 1/17/1981, he was united in holy matrimony to Linda (nee: Hoard) McCurty and in this union, four children were born.

Maurice was affectionately known by his childhood name, “Pig”. He was a very shy child, but he was very intelligent and gifted. He loved spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed watching the games with friends. He loved the Chicago Bears.

Maurice attended Donohue Elementary School and Wendell Phillips High School. He went on and joined the U.S Army and received an honorable discharge, out of 250 people taking the Army Exam, he ranked number 1. He had been employed by various industrial companies over the years.

Maurice was preceded in death by fiancée, Michelle Martin of Racine WI, Father JB McCurty, and three brothers, Chester, Charles, and Mike McCurty of Chicago IL.

Maurice leaves to cherish his memories his lovely mother, Geneva Mc Curty of Chicago IL; four children, daughter Trenetta (James) Hoard, three sons, Maurice (Rochelle) Hoard, Delvin (Martha) Hoard, & Arrmand (Shaina) McCurty, all of Racine WI; a sister, Beverly Akogu; three brothers, Jerry & James McCurty of Chicago IL, Wayne McCurty of Racine WI; twelve grandkids and eleven great-grandkids; a special sister-in-law, Arnette Martin of Racine WI and a host of uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law, other family and friends.
