Obituary

RACINE – Maxmilliam "Max" Gutierrez, Jr., 78, passed away at Ascension All Saints on Thursday, January 13, 2022.

He was born in Kenosha on August 28, 1943, the son of the late Maxmilliam and Guadalupe (nee Sabala) Gutierrez.

Max loved listening and dancing to country and Mexican music.  He also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage.  However, Max was happiest in the company of his family.

He is survived by his brother, Jesse (Patricia Amann) Gutierrez; his sisters, Olivia Ramos, Esther Gutierrez; his niece and caregiver, Maria Gutierrez; his brother-in-law, Mike Marquez; as well as many other loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Marquez; his brother, Ysidro (Nina) Gutierrez; his sister-in-law, Amanda Gutierrez; and his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Bueno, Carmel Johnson, Deanna Gutierrez, Jose Ramos, and John Gutierrez.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, January 24, 2022, for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A prayer service celebrating and remembering Max's life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Juan Manuel Camacho officiating.  His interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Best Care Residential for the loving care and attention Max received.
