Melvin Rogers, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 18, 2016. He was born in Racine on March 23, 1953 the son of the late Charles and Classye (nee: Wade-Hall) Rogers. Melvin had been employed by Great Clips For Hair for over 20 years until he retired. He enjoyed dabbling with all kinds of electronic gadgets. Surviving are his son, Clifton Rogers; grandchildren, Isaiah Rogers, Jacob Caldwell, and Torre Rogers, all of Racine; brothers and sisters, Marcella Rogers, Tracy Rogers, Gloria Rogers, and Eric Rogers, all of Racine, Sherry Pierce and Janice Griffin, both of Milwaukee, and Dennis Rogers, of Memphis, TN. In addition to parents Charles, and Classye, Melvin was preceded in death by two sisters, Gerry Mosley, and Linda Rogers. His Homegoing Service will be held In the funeral home on Friday, August 26th, at 1:00 p.m. with his cousin, Dr. Charles C. Jones, officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. Private interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
