RACINE – Michael A. Draves, 72, passed away at Ascension All Saints on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
He was born on April 8, 1953, the son of Frederick and Irene (nee: Braun) Draves, III. He graduated from JI Case High School in 1971. In his early years, Michael enjoyed being a member of the Racine Kilties.
Michael was an accomplished chef at various restaurants in Racine. He lived in downtown Racine, where he enjoyed going out to eat and frequenting local businesses. He was also a model train enthusiast and had an extensive collection.
Michael is survived by his mother, Irene Dvorak; his sister, Cheryl Draves; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Draves, III, and his brothers, Patrick and Jeffrey Draves. His brother, Frederick “Teddy” Draves, IV, passed away 10 days after Michael on November 7, 2025.

I just found out today Mike that you passed away I wish I could have been there to be with you more but I’ve been in Colorado I guess no one ever told me I asked my brother if he ever heard things about you he said no I’m so sad I can’t stop the tears all I can remember is the crazy times we had we sure had some good ones laugh and laugh and laugh that’s all I ever did when I was with you you were born comedian you and your invisible dog buster I could go on for hours I wish I could have said goodbye well you were one of the best friends I ever had from when I first met you in my sophomore year in high school at j i case we were too crazy dudes well all I can say is I love you man and I’ve missed you all these years God bless you I know you’re in a far better place and I’m sure you’re happy and the pain is over I’ll see you soon anyway you were my friend and I love you see you on the other side
